The majority of these wildlife habitats are on private land and access to them is not possible without permission of the landowner, unless there is a statutory right of way. Lamb and Flag Quarry SSSI
The quarry face at Lamb and Flag Quarry SSSI is one of a number of Oxfordshire sites where quarrying has left important geological exposures which are of great value in the understanding of geological history. Here there is a section through what is known as the Highworth Formation which holds important ammonite fossils.
