Oxfordshire Districts
This map highlights the landscape types within the parish you selected, and its associated local character areas. You can click on any area of the map for a description of its landscape character and biodiversity. Please note that local character areas can cover large areas of the countryside, and may include several parishes, so the description may not be specific to this parish. If there are any wildlife habitats within the parish their descriptions can be found by scrolling to the bottom of this page.

In this part of the site, you can focus more closely on the landscape character and biodiversity of individual districts and parishes. You can view the information in two ways:

  • By parish
Select the district you are interested in, and then click on the map to go to a particular parish, or select it from the drop-down list. You can then click on the map to find out more about the various landscape types within that parish.

  • By landscape type
Select the district you are interested in, and then click on the map to go to a particular landscape type.

The study has only been able to cover rural districts and parishes so Oxford City, which has its own landscape character assessment, has not been included.
