Wooded Estatelands
Site Code: 29N01/2
Area: 8.7ha
This site is a fairly large lake, fringed with woodland in a parkland setting. The particular interest of the site is a heronry (a communal nesting site for herons) in the woodland. The heronry supports a large part of the local breeding population of herons. The lake also supports good numbers of wildfowl that winter in the UK.
