The majority of these wildlife habitats are on private land and access to them is not possible without permission of the landowner, unless there is a statutory right of way. Area: 9.4ha
This is an area of old railway sidings. A variety of plants have colonised the area including plants that like open and lime rich soils. These include centaury, wild marjoram, wild parsnip and blue fleabane. There are also colourful wildflowers such as oxeye daisy. Some uncommon and nationally scarce invertebrates have been found here along with a good variety of butterflies including common blue and brown argus.
