The majority of these wildlife habitats are on private land and access to them is not possible without permission of the landowner, unless there is a statutory right of way. Area: 7.6ha
This site consists of a small shallow lake and an extensive area of wet willow woodland with many rushes and sedges on the ground. Wet woodland is rare in Oxfordshire and is a national priority for nature conservation. There are also areas of drier broadleaved woodland. The site supports a good range of insects including nationally scarce species.
