The majority of these wildlife habitats are on private land and access to them is not possible without permission of the landowner, unless there is a statutory right of way. Estate Farmlands

Area: 4.1ha

Site Code: 42R03

This site consists of two large ponds though the main importance of the site lies with the wetland habitat at the western edge. This is a good sized area of rush dominated marsh which has good numbers of southern marsh orchid and also ragged robin. This is fringed by wet willow woodland and carr. These habitats are a national priority for nature conservation.

The ponds also attract some wintering wildfowl including teal and gadwall. The uncommon white-legged damselfly is also found here.
