The majority of these wildlife habitats are on private land and access to them is not possible without permission of the landowner, unless there is a statutory right of way. Area: 5.6ha

These meadows have escaped agricultural improvement through the use of herbicides and fertilizers or through ploughing and reseeding. The meadows are grazed by cattle and, although not as rich as hay meadows, they still support and good variety of meadowland wildflowers. Meadows such as this are a national priority for nature conservation.

Wildflowers found here include devil’s-bit scabious and pignut with ragged robin and cuckooflower in the wetter areas. A pond in the northern field supports ivy-leaved water crowfoot which is the only place in Oxfordshire that it is found. The meadows have good thick species-rich hedgerows.
